Kathy Mageno is an award-winning cutting horse trainer who brings forty years of experience to Temecula, California, to train and teach riders cutting skills and horsemanship. She teaches horsemen and women how to pay great attention to detail and helps identify small changes that can be made with the horse or rider that can make a big difference. Kathy said, "I've always been fascinated with the pressure and relief method most commonly associated with horsemanship. I have incorporated these methods into my cutting program, and it has become a big part of my training and coaching cutters. Kathy said she subscribes to the ‘less is more’ philosophy. We often do too much to try and make changes, either in the rider or horse.
